 Paspaley Jewellery is a renowned supplier of luxury pearls and jewellery. Known for its unique supply of exquisite pearls sourced from the Australian South Sea, this client is a reputable high-end jewellery designer.

 

With boutique stores located in luxury retail and hotel establishments across Australia, customers reliably discover a delightful and immersive shopping experience reflecting the brand’s commitment to excellence. This encapsulates its prestigious heritage and reinforces its reputation as a premier provider of pearls and jewellery.



Challenges


Paspaley Jewellery contacted the Pinnacle LED team to find an artistic digital signage solution for their new boutique located on Queen Street, in Brisbane, Queensland. The Paspaley team needed a striking yet subtle LED display that was integrated into the store’s external stone façade to complement its internal digital screens. Of brand importance to the client, was ensuring that the LED screen solution enhanced the real environment of its customers by strategically using refined digital elements that reiterated its luxury brand aesthetic. It showcased its jewellery artwork, and effectively told the story of Paspaley.


The entire project — from initial consultation and design through to installation — had to be delivered within a condensed 3-month window to align with the boutique’s construction and opening schedule. The primary challenge was not technological, but logistical. Installing the external LED display required meticulous coordination with the boutique’s builders to ensure seamless integration into the stone façade, without disrupting the architectural vision or delaying the build timeline.


 

Our approach to overcoming challenges


In order to deliver a digital signage solution that met and exceeded expectations of our client, the Pinnacle LED team needed to home in on the primary objective of Paspaley’s boutique experience. By blending technology seamlessly into the boutique’s architecture, they wanted to both ensure a sophisticated and aesthetic storefront with a seamless, immersive shopping experience. The client wanted its customers to be able to explore the latest collections of pearls and jewellery designs in a way that straddled the latest in state-of-the-art digital signage whilst maintaining the tactile feel of an in-person boutique experience.

 

We understand that this meant our digital display solution was about incorporating both functional and artistic elements to ensure that the luxury retail experience was being preserved.

 

Our Solution



For the external display, we opted for an Absen A-Series Outdoor LED display with a P4 pixel pitch. This display could be carefully integrated into the European stone façade of the boutique. The slim display allowed for content to be projected in accordance with Paspaley’s marketing needs without overpowering the building's design, looking out of place, or encroaching on potential customers walking along on the street. Critically, the Absen LED is also best-in-class for outdoor performance, especially in Australia.

 

Integrated Digital Display Solution


The external display was complemented by an internal display of multiple Samsung QM43Cs. These displays were chosen to ensure brand consistency with Paspaley’s other locations. Using a uniform digital platform meant a stable brand image and consistent customer experience.

 

Cloud Based Management


To ensure the client had seamless control of its digital signage content, we opted for MagicINFO and Tripleplay, a complementary pair of cloud-based content management systems. This choice of system ensured that the client could easily create and load content, manage devices and even remotely schedule display changes across multiple devices.

The Pinnacle LED team’s solution exceeded expectations. With easy-to-manage digital displays blending perfectly into the boutique’s internal design and external facade, it made for an impactful enhancement to the customer experience and brand positioning. It was extremely gratifying to have the Paspaley family themselves attend the store opening and experience the immersive digital system harmoniously integrated into the luxury brick-and-mortar boutique. 

 

The choice of cloud-based CMS platforms allowed for streamlined content updates, reducing the need for manual interventions, and ensuring fresh and relevant messaging. The choice of technology kept the uniform across the Paspaley’s stores consistent whilst delivering reliable and durable performance.
